Kevin Masur, MD, FACS

Board Certified General Surgeon

Born and raised in north central Indiana, Dr. Masur attended Wabash College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He also completed a Semester Study Abroad Program at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He furthered his education at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he was the recipient of the Dr. and Mrs. Frank E. Gifford Scholarship, earning a Doctorate of Medicine. Following, he completed post-education training at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center for a Surgical Residency.

Dr. Masur has over ten years of experience as a surgeon and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has performed multiple procedures, including, gallbladder, hernia, appendectomy, breast cancer surgery, and thyroid surgeries. Dr. Masur performs surgeries laparoscopically and robotically. He is currently Vice Chair of Surgery at Banner Desert Medical Center and is part of the teaching faculty for multiple Physician Assistant and Medical Student programs. Dr. Masur is also part of the teaching faculty at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency (PISR) Program, Phoenix, Arizona, and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Dr. Masur is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, Phoenix Surgical Society, and Arizona Medical Association and he volunteers for many organizations, including the American Red Cross. Twice a year, he travels to Honduras, serving as the Surgical Mission Trip Director.
