Dr. Reitz was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. She graduated from Augustana College suma cum laude and then received her medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. She continued her training by completing a general surgery residency in Seattle at Swedish Medical Center. She selected this program as it was known for its high volume operative experience.

Dr. Reitz is Board Certified with American Board of Surgery. Dr. Reitz has an interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, endocrine surgery, as well as all areas of general surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
