Ambar Matta, MD, FACS

Board Certified General Surgeon

Dr. Ambar Matta grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and received his bachelor of Arts in Biology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He completed medical school at Ross University in Dominica and then headed back home to complete his general surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital/TriHealth. After the completion of residency, Dr. Matta relocated to Arlington, Virginia for work. Dr. Matta joined Arizona Advanced Surgery in January 2022.

Dr. Matta is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Outside of work, Dr. Matta is an avid golfer and tennis player and enjoys spending time with his family.
